As Socrates once said, “the unexamined life is not worth living” and that may very well be my motto. I write to understand. I believe great stories help us fathom one another and build a more empathic, compassionate world. And I believe that the stories of women too often go untold. That is why journals like Minerva Rising are essential.
A Midwestern transplant living in NYC for 25 years now, I’ve just finished my first novel, am working on a memoir about grief and crafting poetry and short stories when I just need to sort something out. I’m looking forward to an interesting journey as a new addition to the Minerva Rising reading team
