Memoir

2017 Memoir Contest

The memoirists stress the subjective nature of reportage. Doubt and wonder come to stand as part of the story.

We come into this world naked and shocked to be here. What has happened to you since that moment and how you feel about it is what makes your story.  What decisions brought you to where you are now?  Who or what were your influences, your nemeses, your angels and protectors?  What has made you drop to your knees in doubt and raise your hands in wonder?

We want to read what makes you you, what you question, what astounds you. And we want to be awed by your mastery of any genre you choose which best serves your story.

We're interested in stories by all women, and encourage women of color and women who feel marginalized by their ethnicity to submit.
