I took this picture at my local arboretum. I was meandering around the trails trying to find something interesting to shoot—a flower, a bird, something “spectacular.” While trying to find the “spectacular” I just kept shooting what was in front of me—the trail.
There is one reason I love this photo–the bend in the road leading to . . . somewhere. There’s no fork, no decision point, no analyzing my options to death figuring out which is the “right” choice. There’s only the path that I’m on based on a decision I made 2 feet or 200 yards ago (or yesterday or last week). Around the curve is the next step, the future, possibility.
