Jessica Ciosek

Jessica Ciosek’s novel Sometimes a Soldier Comes Home, a historical tale of WWII on the American home front, was published in 2021. Her short stories have appeared in several small journals including Minerva Rising, The Blue Nib, Pen + Brush in Print, and Adelaide. She recently received her MFA from Manhattanville University, where she also teaches academic writing to first-year students. She lives in New York City with her family.

Jessica’s writing centers primarily around the untold stories of women in a world that often overlooks the challenges of the very people it relies on to make the world happen. She is thrilled to be working with Minerva Rising and looks forward to elevating more of those untold, overlooked, and sometimes hidden stories for the sake of us all.
