Gina Hietpas

Gina Hietpas is a poet, farmer and retired teacher. Her farm is part of an old homestead and a wildlife corridor for elk, deer, coyotes and occasionally a bob cat or bear—all of which offer lessons in humor, ingenuity, perseverance and acceptance. Her book stack focuses on poetry, the natural world and novels of introspection. Her poetry collection, Terrain, is a celebration of the land, the wildlife and a marriage shaped by medical challenges. It was a finalist for the Washington State Book Awards 2021.
