JULES BILLINGS

Jules Billings recently graduated from North Central College in Naperville, IL with a bachelor’s in English writing and two minors in history and French. A writer and avid reader, her passions for creativity and history intersect in her love for creative nonfiction. She most recently presented her capstone project, entitled “My Dad: The Bug Scientist”—a portrait of nostalgia and nature that follows the life of her dad, Rick Billings.

She often draws inspiration for her writing from the natural world, and one of her fiction pieces, “The Mississippi River Fish Uprising,” and “Brown Marmorated Stink Bug, Halyomorpha Halys,” a chapter of her capstone project, can be found in the 2022 and 2024 editions of 30 North Literary Magazine.

When not engrossed in a book or frantically typing on her Notes app, Jules can be found trail running or carefully curating Spotify playlists.
