At The Fairmont Acapulco Princess hotel’s outdoor lobby in Acapulco, Mexico.

The lobby’s view is nothing short of breathtaking with many carved stone pillars. The pillars are covered from floor to ceiling in Aztec symbols and stand several stories high.  I loved the texture of the Aztec symbols and couldn’t resist taking many extreme angles of the carvings–going so far as to “lay flat” against the pillar while standing up and pointing my camera directly at the ceiling. I still wonder what the symbols mean, but secretly hope that what’s captured in this picture is the secret to life.
